do you listen to your own words

As many of you know I am a musician and make an attempt to pen a lyric here and there and have for many years and feel this is my true calling in the area God wants me, as well as other places he wants me to be and to be involved in. I draw a lot of communication with God through not only scripture but in Song and Lyrics that others may pen....but my choosing of those people are ..how can I say....Very, Very, Carefully Chosen. Many words are penned on paper then musically sculptured to get the words in the right place, with the right notes and progressions that become the obsolute glue that brings it all together in a way that only the writer and musician can........I recently went to a concert , last night as a matter of fact, I had been looking forward to this for days, you see this was a man whose words intrigued me so much and caused me to look at things in my life in a different perspective, but somewhere along the way something seemed to have changed. I get there with the uttmost anticipation, because this was a "christian" concert.... it starts....DW takes the stage, sings 3 songs that caused me to be somewhat puzzled and confused then he starts talking and brings me to a stage of so much disapointment, because you see he has a song in which I believe is the song of all songs that deals with a person as an individual and his or her walk with Christ and how we use him only when we need him or when there is convenience for us which in turn the song says...."I am a whore I do confess I put you on like a wedding dress and I run down the isle, a prodigal with no way home I put you on just like a ring of gold and run down the isle... to you......" Yet I hear so much compromise from this life and justification of why he feels the way he does that falls so far from Scripture. Then another well know female artist "JK" takes the stage with an errogance that caused a very heavy feeling within my spirit, 1 song, 2 songs, 3 songs, all dealt with confusion and anger (my interpretation) and "can you take this from me" words and meanings, then....speaks to the crowd and states that her homosexuality statement to the press is for the crowd that was there, and that how it was absurd that people would buy her albums in the past because of her "righteousness"...people cheered and scoffed at those who calls sin, sin.(Literally)....her statement caused tears to well up in my eyes as well as disgust by the sin she was justifying. Unfortunately, I could not stay any longer I could not bring myself to be in that place any longer and left......I left with a heavy heart and a prayer on my lips that stated "God Help Us"

How can a person that wrote and sang "Hold Me Now" so intimately and passionate as well as the other singing "Wedding Dress" with such compassion and demise of the lifestyle that seemed to disgust him so much but yet swim in it all the while ........How Can They Not listen to their own Words. Can someone help me understand ?

Let our actions ...our words....always reflect Gods Love and his ways. Do we make mistakes? ....Yes. Are we perfect?...No. But when we fall...Get up, dust yourself off and continue walking forward asking our heavenly father for the strength even for the next step we take....

Please God protect us, save us from the deception of this world and help us to press on toward the mark that you have set before us. Help me not to judge, but to love..........

More to come later...
